Fun Running – City2Sea
This year the girls and I entered into the City2Sea to help raise money for Team Freeman.
The Cathy Freeman Foundation delivers life changing education programs to Indigenous communities throughout Australia to try and help close the education gap and help Indigenous kids reach their potential at school. Did you know that right now in Australia, Indigenous children are twice as likely to be developmentally vulnerable as non-Indigenous children?
As a not-for-profit organisation, the Foundation raises much of its funds through events like City2Sea & Melbourne Marathon.
This year was the first year ‘Team Freeman’ ran in the City2Sea and all the Bridge Fitness girls were there supporting! As a team we managed to raise $2,000 to support Indigenous education. How awesome!
Check out this amazing image taken by one of our girls Jen! These are just some of the kids we will be helping.
On top of all this I am super proud of all the girls who ran. We totally smashed it as a team and I look forward to our next run in the new year.
Well done ladies!
And well done to little Archie who lead the team 🙂
